Martin Davies was qualified in architecture at Nottingham University and has practised in the Cardigan area for much of his life. He designed many bungalows during the 1980s, but then began to specialise in building restoration and spent years working for the National Trust at Llanerchaeron and elsewhere.
He has produced two other publications: ‘Save the last of the magic’, a booklet which encourages the preservation of our local vernacular architecture; and ‘Ancient Causeways Uncovered’, which provides evidence for an undiscovered Roman route across the Preselis and up the Ceredigion coast.
